Mount Dora, Fla. (April 8, 2024) – The 29th Annual Earth Day Mount Dora, presented by the City of Mount Dora and the Mount Dora Friends of the Environment, Inc., will take place Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm in Donnelly Park.
This year’s event sponsors include: Climate First Bank (Lake County branch) SECO Energy, G3 Development, Rusty Anchor and Visit Mount Dora.
The event will begin with a demonstration from the Round Lake Charter School Drum Line
Event features over 30 exhibitors providing earth friendly education, services or products.
A sidewalk chalk art contest will also take place from 10am – noon for both children and adult artists to participate.
Classes will be held on Composting, How to prune/trim landscaping and, “Best Trees to Plant in your Central Florida Yard” provided by Certified Arborist, Johnny Turvin, ISA, inside the Donnelly Park Building.
Proceeds from this event go directly to the Urban Forest Tree Fund for the City of Mount Dora.
