Tuesday October 3, 2023 at a Mount Dora Friends of the Environment (MDFE) Volunteer/Donor event, numerous donors were recognized and thanked. Founding members, Andrea Burr-Yatsuk (MDFE Treasurer) and her husband Jim Yatsuk, former Mount Dora Mayor and Councilman, were presented this recognition award (below) for their ongoing efforts on behalf of the City of Mount Dora.
Their work includes, but is not limited to, securing a grant to hire a full-time arborist, a $200,000 budget for trees and a commitment from the City to plant 100 trees each year.
