The Mount Dora Friends of the Environment, Inc. invites Mount Dora High (9th-12th) students to celebrate Earth Day 2019 by competing in a poster contest! This year’s theme is
“There Is No Planet B.”
We are looking for posters that emphasize the importance of planting trees, recycling, living plastic wise,conserving energy and water, protecting our wildlife and ecosystems. The poster must represent one or more of these environmental concerns.
Entry must be original artwork created by a full-time student who is currently enrolled and attending Mount Dora High School (9th-12th grades) at the time of submission.
Student must register for contest online at the time of electronically submitting theirposter and completing the form at mountdoraenvironment.org (also available from school administration office)by5 PM, Friday, January 11, 2019.
Original Poster may be done in marker, crayon, paint pens, watercolor, ink, acrylic, colored pencil, and/or tempera paint or graphically designed.
Poster must include the following Earth Day Festival information: Earth Day Mount Dora , Saturday, April 13, 2019, 9am - 4pm, Donnelly Park, and information link at MountDoraEnvironment.org.
Poster should NOT display names of companiesor your name.
Poster must have the following dimension: 11” x 17” (full bleed of 1.25” is allowed) and can be either vertical or horizontal with a 2" blank border at bottom or side for sponsor's logos to be inserted.
Poster will need to be scanned/or photographed for electronic submission and uploaded with the registration form found at MountDoraEnvironment.org) as a JPEG or PDF file with a resolution of 600 DPI at actual size and emailed to MountDoraEnvironment@gmail.com.
By entering this contest, you give Mount Dora Friends of the Environment the right to publish images of your poster.
The winners for the Earth Day Poster Contest will be honored and their prizes awarded Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Donnelly Park as part of the opening ceremony for the Earth Day Celebration!
Poster Contest winnerwill be announced the week of January 15th and results will be posted on MountDoraEnvironment.org, Mount Dora Friends of the Environment’s Facebook page, and the City of Mount Dora’s social media sites.
