Earth Day 2025 Events

This year’s 30th Annual event is co-sponsored by Climate First Bank (Lake County branch), SECO Energy’s SURGE program, Mount Dora Friends of the Environment (MDFE) and the City of Mount Dora. Proceeds help fund local reforestation efforts to restore Mount Dora’s trees.

Festival kick-off Saturday at 9:00 a.m. with the
Round Lake Drum Line
Events include:

9:30 a.m. to 2:00 pm - Silent Auction - on stage.
9:45 am - Yoga demonstration of 'earth poses' with public participation.
10:00 am to noon - Sidewalk Chalk Art - near Donnelly Park fountain. Prizes in 4 age groups.
10:45 a.m. - Lake County Capoeira children & teen martial arts demonstration.
11:30 - Showtime USA dance and choral music performance.
Noon - Mayoral proclamation by Mayor, James Homich.
Following Mayoral proclamation - ECO-FASHION Show - upcycled/recycled-sustainably produced materials. Sponsored by Walk In the Woods downtown....who is also giving away 100 tree saplings from their exhibit.

Educational Presentations - Every half hour starting at 10 am inside Donnelly Park building:

Free tree seedlings (including Crape Myrtles) and other eco-friendly giveaways available.

Vendor exhibits featuring earth friendly products.
Bobby Koelble will provide smooth instrumental jazz and good vibes throughout the day.
